For reliable data storage you must have at least two copies on the different disks - for example, first on a hard disk drive, the second - on a flash drive. In this case, the data will not be lost, even if hard disk fails or you lost USB memory stick. The program automatically synchronize files on different disks to the actual state. For example, you have three files in list of synchronization - first on a hard disk of your home computer, second on a hard disk of your work computer and third on a USB flash drive. You change the safe file of your home computer (USB flash drive is connected). By this action the safe file of USB flash drive will be synchronized with a home computer. Then you connect this flash drive to your work computer and open the safe file of your work computer. In this time the safe file of work computer will be synchronized with USB flash drive. It is no matter which drive letter has been assigned to the USB flash drive. In any case, the safe files will be synchronized correctly.

Files appear in the list of synchronization by two ways: pressing the button [Add In List], or automatically. Every time you save a safe file as a new file, it is automatically added to this list. You can use the button [Delete from List] to remove the file from the list. Red highlighted file is not available to synchronize. On the screenshot above we see the situation when a safe file has been saved on three discs - HD1, FD2 and HD3. All the files have different names, but all three files contain the same data - a copy of the same safe file. Disks HD1 and HD3 are disks C:, its are the hard drives of two different computers. Disk FD2 is a USB flash drive. Files on two drives (HD1, FD2) are available and synchronized, and the file of the third disk (HD3) is not available, because the disk was not found. If you connect the USB flash drive to the computer, disk HD3 will be found and synchronized when you open, or close, or save the safe file, or you press the [Synchronize Now] button.

Backup is automatically executed for all the files listed in the synchronization list, no more than once a day. Count of the backup copies are no more than specified in the [Select Backup Count] box.
For each safe file, in the same folder where is the safe file, it is automatically create the [backup] folder. This folder will store folders with backup files. For example, the way to the safe file - [C:/demo.saf], then the backup safe file can be found in [C:/backup/2009-02-21_17-06-04/demo.saf] folder.
You can limit the number of backup files: [Main Menu / Tools / Sync and the reserve / Select the number of backups] (default - 10). If the number of copies exceeds the specified limit, the new copies will rewrite the oldest copies (and change the date and time in the folder names).
Backup files are created when there are changes and no more than once a day. Thus 10 backups allow time for error detection (and restore corrupted data) not less than 10 days.
Additional, every time you save the safe file there are created one additional backup. This backup is stored directly in the [backup] folder, for example: [C:/backup/demo.saf].

If [Auto-save] option is checked, all changes are automatically saved to the safe without any warning when closing or minimizing windows in the system tray or taskbar.
